Alan Reed wins again as the race for the top ten heats up

There are only 5 weeks remaining for season two of the Friday Freezeout, and the race for top spot and the race to be in the top ten is as tight as ever.  Alan’s ten points with his win on Friday brings him into contention for the top spot if he goes on a good run, with any one of about 6 in with a shout, of claiming the title and the FREE UK poker package for 2012.  The race to be in the top ten is even more exciting with plenty of players still in with a chance for a free package.  Here are the players around the top ten and in with a chance of making it.

New UKIPT schedule announced

The new UKIPT schedule has recently been announce and see’s the return of the very popular Pokerstars tour that many Jersey players had the chance of playing in last year.  The format has changed slightly with buy-ins increasing from £550 to £770 for the majority of the legs, and the Ireland legs increasing to €770.  Here are the first four legs that have been scheduled in, with a few more to follow – I fully expect Manchester or Brighton will be back on there, so if anyone fancies a UK poker tour which is also televised on Channel 4 this is a great one to try and get involved with.

Galway, Ireland (February 16 - 20)
Nottingham, England (April 12 - 16)
Dublin, Ireland (May 17 - 21)
Newcastle, England (September 6 - 10)
