Tight at the top!!

We are now nearly half way with the Season 3 of the Friday Freezeout, and looking at the top of the table shows how close the race for the 1st prize will be.  Only 4 points separate the top four places, and with 5 points awarded for turning up each week, anything can happen.
The top two places have been occupied by Warren Mudge and Craig Hartley pretty much from the first couple of weeks, I have slowly caught them up and sit in third, and now with Whippy getting two first places followed by last night’s 3rd he has jumped from nowhere in the last three weeks – which shows anyone has a chance of winning or making the top ten.  With two packages to the UK Genting Poker Series guaranteed there is great added value in trying to make the top ten.
Last night I was running pretty steady until I found Pocket Kings under the gun, after raising it up Sam Jackson decided to push all-in for just over double what I had put in there.  We had just seen KK vs AA and I was hoping it wasn’t the same, after I turned my Kings over Sam turned over KJ of Clubs so was absolutely dominated!!  After the flop of Q,Q,10 this not only gave Sam the up and down straight draw, there were two clubs giving him the chance of a royal flush draw, which he amazingly hit on the Turn, the Ace of clubs completing Sam’s Royal Flush!!  Mind you he was dealing himself, and I have seen him spending plenty of time with Shakey Joe the magician, I think I’ll need to check his sleeves next time!  In all my time playing I have only had one Royal Flush and that was on Joker Stars (Sorry I mean Poker Stars)
Anyway last night ended with a heads up battle with two of the games tightest players Phil “The Crippled Carp” Caie, and Charlie “Waterworks” Du Fue, with the waterworks finally taking it down with his pocket Jacks....

Full Tilt Poker deal expected to be closed next week

For those of you out there who used to play on Full Tilt, like myself, and those of you that have money tied up in there, like myself may be interested in the following piece of news....

Groupe Bernard Tapie is expected to complete its acquisition of Full Tilt Poker before the end of next week, sources close to the matter have confirmed to eGaming Review.

According to the article published on eGaming Review, Laurent Tapie of Groupe Bernard Tapie has already begun recruiting personnel in preparation for a re-launch, which he expects to take four weeks.

The article also reveals that the new Full Tilt Poker is not expected to go live until after the first anniversary of Black Friday (15.04.2012).

PocketFives.com reached out to Tapie lawyer Behn Dayanim today, who informed that when a deal is finalized it would be followed by a major public announcement.

The eGaming Review article does not, however, reveal if or when players will get their money back, hopefully this will be announced very soon!!
